FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

William Butterworth to Sign Latest Release, co-authored with Father/Author, Web Griffin, New York Times Bestselling Men at War Series

Fairhope, AL (June 18, 2007) Page & Palette is pleased to announce that William Butterworth IV, co-author of the brand-new espionage thriller, Double Agents, will be signing his book, Saturday, July 7, 2:00-4:00 PM at the Fairhope bookstore. All books will also be pre-signed by Butterworth's father/co-author, WEB Griffin.

Critics and fans alike last year welcomed the return of the New York Times Bestselling Men at War series with The Saboteurs. It was W.E.B. Griffin’s 36th novel and his son, William Butterworth’s first. In the latest release, Double Agents, the two authors have their iconoclastic Office of Strategic Services (OSS) heroes face an historic challenge. Dick Canidy and colleagues in the OSS must convince Hitler and the Axis powers that the invasion of the European continent will take place anywhere but on the beaches of Nazi-occupied France. “Wild Bill” Donovan’s men have several tactics in mind, but some of the people they must use are not the most reliable—are, in fact, most likely spying for both sides—so the deceptions require layer upon layer of intrigue, and all it will take is one slip to send the whole thing tumbling down like a house of cards. Are the OSS agents up to it? They certainly think so. And then the body is found floating off the coast of Spain…

Filled to the brim with action, character, and the deep understanding of the military heart and mind that have made Griffin’s books so outstanding, The Double Agents is irresistible storytelling from two masters of the craft.

W.E.B. Griffin is the author of six bestselling series: The Corps, Brotherhood of War, Badge of Honor, Men at War, Honor Bound and Presidential Agent.

William E. Butterworth IV has been a writer and editor for over twenty-five years, and has worked closely with his father for several years on the editing of the Griffin books. This is his second stint as co-author of a Men at War novel. He lives in Texas. (Photo: W.E.B. Griffin and William E. Butterworth IV)
